When I first came into AS media, I only had a little bit of experience with editing, and that was only with Windows Movie Maker. Final Cut Pro was very difficult to understand at first, but the more I tried, the better I became.
I developed technical skills such as:

- using a variety of transitions between scenes
- recording footage on a camera from different angles
- using sound effects from SoundTrack Pro
- creating sound on SoundTrack Pro
- placing text onto our sequence with LiveType
- framing shots properly
- making sure the scene being edited made sense
- using appropriate mis-en-scene
- using appropriate sound for certain scenes
