IDEAS! IDEAS!
Fonts I like:
I intend to use a very simple bold font in order to make the name of the artist stand out and to make it very visible for the audience. Also my genre of RnB tend use very simple bold writing and I wish to follow this convention as I believe it's a good way to promote a new artist.
I like this font just because I thought it looked 'nice' however it 's not really appropriate for my genre and because I remembered one of the 'dont's' in the list we were given. |
I also like this font but once again it was not suitable for my genre. It was more the genre for a dance album as opposed to RnB. |
I thought this font was very clear for an album cover but after doing some research on the fonts used on RnB albums I realised that this font wasn't appropriate. |
At the beginning I thought this would be the final font I would use, however when I asked my peers and my teacher for their opinion they said it was clear but yet again not suitable for my genre. This font was more appropriate for a book cover. |
When I found this font I thought it would be appropriate for my genre as it was very bold and clear. I also liked it because I thought it would work perfectly with my choice of a 'swirl' design as the letters have certain 'swirly' endings. I asked my teacher whether this font was good and she told me it was not very suitable for a front cover of a CD cover. |
This font was also good but as the letters were all 'squashed' together it was not good for the front cover as it didn't really strike out to the audeince. |
This font was very eye catching to me but I definitely knew that it was not suitable for my front cover. It looked better on the front cover of a crime book. |
This was the font I decided to use without the italic effect. I thought this was very clear , bold and it was appropriate for my genre.
Here is a picture of the album cover I was inspired by 'Rihanna' (RnB)

Colours I would like to use:
I want to use Turquoise, black and white. I think these colours work very well together they all stand out from one another which is a good thing as everything will be visible.
I want to use this colour as the background of my digipak. I was inspired by one of the albums by Rihanna which is suitable for my genre. |
I want to use this colour for my text as it stands out on the turquoise background. |
The colour of the artist outfit is white which also stands out on the turquoise background. As I also want my artist's image to be in black and white I believe the white will stand out even more. |
Designs I want to use:
I want a 'swirl' design that will run across the panels of my digipak. Through this I want to show continuity and a very soft feminine theme. I want the design to begin from the front panel, continue through the back panel and eventually go into the inside left panel.
