Lip Syncing Tutorial

Lip Syncing

There were many things I had learnt in June whilst the Lip Syncing tutorial had been taken place.

I found it rather hard at first and I noticed that when I was direction the person who was lipsyncing, I would tell them to sing parts of the song whilst I recorded. But it was easier to just record the person lip syncing the whole song through out. With the recording out the way, it was then time to edit the clip and I was certainly challenged by this. The reason why I say so is because getting the beat of the song was quite tricky with also marking it as well. The majority of the time it was in a way about 'multi-tasking' and doing two things at once. In the clips that were being edited I had noticed inconsistant footage that was literally no use in using so in the end it eventually got deleted.

Through this lip syncing tutorial I got use to multi-tasking and doing two or more things at once which it actually got easily the more I fiddled around with it. I learnt that when lip syncing, it is best to sing the song throughout whilst it is being recorded then, find a word in the first verse and mark it on Final Cut Pro as this shortens the editing process with trying to mark up each word at a time. It is also very important that the lip syncing is exactly in time with the actual song as this will really make the video itself look like someone of an amater level produced this and this is about producing a high quality music video within a budget, in our case we have no budget! :)
