Ludacris' music video is one of the main videos that have inspired in terms of the ideas around editing. The concept of the artist not being seen works really well with the video because it's a song about real life issues that people are facing as we speak. I believe this is why the actors are centre of attention most of the time, and this shows that the less times the artists are shown on screen, the more effective the video will be. In our video we plan to show the artist mostly in the chorus with base track editing, however, there will be glimpses of her in other parts of the video.

In T-Pain's video whenever the chorus comes with Lily Allen singing, because she is not actually in the video, another girl appears singing the lyrics. This is similar to what we want to do with the artist appearing when the chorus is played. I also like the use of mis en scene and how binary opposition is used between the two characters. When the girl acting as Lily Allen is shown, she's at home in her robe waiting for her lover, and when T-Pain is shown he is in his outwear clothes rushing to get home to her. It reinforces status and I think my group will have a similar view between the artist and the actress.
Below are all three videos:
Ludacris ft Mary J Blidge - Runaway Love
Leona Lewis - Bleeding Love
T-Pain ft Lily Allen & Wiz Khalifa - 5 O'Clock
