Locations For Filming Our Music Video

We discussed as a group that the locations where we film at need to be appropriate for our song and for our idea of a girl who is dealing low self esteem. We decided that the mise en scene needs to be perfect in order for our video to look realistic and so that we are able to show our story line effectively. Whilst talking, many ideas came about as to where to film. We spoke about paying for a hotel room, going to a B&B bedroom and even asking for permission to film in the bedroom section of Ikea. We spoke to our teacher and told her our ideas, she made us realise that we will only have a certain amount of time to film in a hotel room and that it was possible that we couldn't film there again. For this reason we decided to film in one of our bedrooms or in a bedroom of any of our friends.(if they agreed to it of course)


When talking about the bedroom we needed, we all agreed that it had to be very plain and all white or neutral colours if possible. Here is a picture of how the bedroom looked like in our imagination:

We also decided to do some of the scenes outside outside, near a river bank. We thought that this would be a good idea as we will firstly have a variety of shots and also because we agreed that a river holds many connotations of peace love but also a bit of sadness and solitude which is what we intend to show to our audience.
