Reflecting back on the AS year - Analysis of Digipak

Analysis of The Digipak

I feel that the strengths of this digipak is that the colour contrast that I have used is rather technical as the background is black and white and the person is colour. The weaknesses of this digipak is that the font used in this doesn’t match the actual photograph.

I feel for the final digipak I’d change a lot to make it better. I would use different techniques like maybe manipulating the image and making it more suitable for the song, when I say this I mean, I would want to digitally change the image to make it relevant to the song and what it’s about. I would also consider looking into fonts more and picking it wisely as this is one of the many things which will make the digipak seem professional or not. If getting the digipak wrong with the minor of choosing the wrong font it may be disappointing.

Comparing it to Tyrese’s digipak there is a lot of information missing on it. Things like a barcode and the record label that is signed to the artist. Also on the digipak that I created there isn’t a ‘Copyright’ symbol or a ‘Trademark’ symbol either. I will definitely ensure that the final digipak has all the information that will be necessary for a good-looking digipak. I also noticed on the Tyrese Digipak that theres a little grid of 'Playbility on' which actually demonstrates which softwares and audio players the CD is compatible with which I feel is very useful.
